Temozolomide showed excellent survival benefit in patients of glioblastoma multiforme, a common and aggressive form of brain tumour which did not allow survival beyond a few months with conventional treatment involving surgery and radiation.

Indications:

• Glioblastoma, concurrently with radiotherapy and as maintenance after radiotherapy
• Anaplastic astrocytoma that is refractory to nitrosoureas
• Melanoma
• Metastatic carcinomas to the brain
